“ Wow. Flavor explosion in my mouth. The Michelin nod definitely well deserved because the spice, pairings and creativity is rarely seen. First thing first- must love spice. I came for Restaurant Week & ordered the Yum Lumyai (longan fruit salad), Thai-Style Chicken Biryani, & mango sticky rice. The salad was sweet, spicy and definitely petite. A mix between lychee & rambutan if you e never had longan before. The chicken biryani was a great portion. Loved the tumeric seasoned rice. The mango sticky rice was my least favorite but still not bad. Star player was the mocha cocktail & the shrimp curry entree was delicious as well. The glass shrimp appetizers were surprisingly juicy despite the small size & basil gelato wasn't too bad (just tiny). Service was good, but I did think the waitress could've visited a tiny bit more but the dark look with decent lighting really helped us to focus on the interesting food. ”
“ Another perfect score. Tong absolutely lives up to the hype. Food: Every bite was packed with bold, authentic flavors. From the crispy pork ribs to the perfectly balanced oysters, every dish delivered. The spice, texture, and presentation were on point. We loved it so much that we ended up getting more of the Gai Tod fried chicken and a crab fried rice to go--it was that good. Drinks: Easily some of the best cocktails in NYC. Creative, balanced, and expertly crafted. Each drink complemented the food perfectly. Service: Flawless. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. Overall: Tong is a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional Thai-inspired dining experience in Brooklyn. Whether it's for a casual night out or a special occasion, this spot delivers on all fronts. Final Rating: 10/10 - Worth every bit of the hype. “ Decent sized place, lo light cozy, very attentive, crabmeat fried rice good, truffle spring roll excellent it's actually a whole spring roll, very tasty. The chicken thighs were actually thighs and legs which I hate, the ribs were not whole but tips. ”
“ This hidden gem is serving up AUTHENTIC and UNIQUE Thai dishes that'll transport you straight to Bangkok! With the delicious dishes they serve, it's a no surprise that this spot had received MICHELIN GUIDE in 4 consecutive years! Wow!!! Every single dish we had was perfectly cooked and absolutely scrumptious! It's definitely one of the best Thai restaurants I've had! Visit them and you'll thank me!! ”
“ I can see exactly why this place has been on the Michelin guide for the past five years. It's on the pricier side when it comes to the Thai food, but so worth your coins . We didn't get an entree and stick to order a few apps The truffles spring rolls were stuck with mushroom and glass noodles. You can't really taste the truffle in the spring roll itself, but the sauce is full of it. And so delicious. We also asked on sweet chili sauce on the side and it was delicious Some of the best octopus I've had perfectly cooked . Perfect texture. Spicy but delicious ”
“ Came here for a working lunch. Soooo good. I ordered the dine in only small plates: oysters and beef tartare. So much flavor. The tartare is spicy so be mindful of that. I added lime juice to cut the heat a bit. Also ordered a Thai iced tea that was delicious as well. The music wasn't too loud and the restaurant is visually beautiful. ”
“ Delicious!! Everything we had at Tong was spot on. We ordered two Thai ice teas, which were a good level of sweet, veg dumplings, the drunken noodles and the crab curry. I would probably skip the dumplings as they're nothing too special, but the rest *chefs kiss* The noodles had that wok hei (smokiness/char from the wok) and it was lovely. Good flavor, good portion and came out so quickly. The crab curry really packed a punch in flavor and spice. Be sure to ask them to lower the spice in everything if you're not ok with extremely spicy. I can handle a bit of spice and while it was fine for me, even after adjusting my husband was on fire! The servers were fast and attentive and overall it's a great space. I'll definitely be coming again! ”
“ Get the truffle spring rolls! Get the truffle spring rolls! Omg - so good. Everything we had here was amazing and very unique. The taro fritter has bits of sweet potato and black beans in it giving it multiple yummy textures. The spring rolls were vegetarian, but the mushrooms made it taste like meat and the truffle flavor was divine. The duck was flavorful and juicy. Every single thing was not only delicious, but amazing. I cannot wait to come back here. ”
“ I ordered delivery from here on a whim, and am glad that I did! I got the crab fried rice, ribs prik khing and the gai tod. All of it was super flavorful. Beware that the ribs are *very* spicy and I would recommend taking all of their warnings about spice seriously lol. This place is on the pricey side, though, so not sure that I will be ordering from here very often. I would like to visit in person one day! ”
“ My partner and I came during a quiet, rainy afternoon and had a great meal. The space is simple and sleek. It's not ostentatious and stays pure to the food. Lovely cocktails. I loved the Walk the Line and Madness. Great menu. It was hard to choose what to get. I'd eat all the spare ribs! While we didn't need much, our waiter wasn't around too much nor asked us if we needed anything else. I'd love to come back. ”
